The Fellows

GGD Fellows are leading intellectuals, hailing mainly from the Global South, whose work—including literature, essays, and scholarship—illuminates pressing global challenges. The fellows first convened in Washington, DC, in April 2024 for conversations with U.S.-based thinkers and met again in Rome (June 2025) and Barcelona (November 2025). In March 2026, they will return to Barcelona to continue the dialogue. The gathering after GGD Barcelona 2026 will take place in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from October 15-17, 2026.
